John Vines Wright Scrapbooks, . 1907-1920

John V. Wright (1828-1908) was a United States representative, 1855-1861, a Confederate colonel and congressman, a Tennessee supreme court judge, and a federal official. The collection is two scrapbooks containing miscellaneous papers, including clippings about and an autobiographical speech by John V. Wright; letters of condolence received at his death by his brother, Confederate General Marcus Joseph Wright; and other family material.
